Project Engineer
GBA Builders is passionate about delivering complex, high-quality construction projects that make an impact. They are seeking a driven Project Engineer to support day-to-day project execution and assist in key functions such as estimating, documentation, and quality control.

Responsibilities
Learn the fundamentals of construction accounting, including budget management, forecasting, and project completion processes
Gain proficiency in project management software to support daily construction operations, scheduling, and documentation
Support subcontract generation, including writing scopes of work for subcontractors and vendors and handling material and equipment procurement process with submittals and approval from the design team
Assist with project documentation tasks, including drafting and tracking RFIs, posting as-built drawings, and supporting the preparation of close-out documentation in accordance with contract and client requirements
Assist with estimating activities, including quantity take-offs, subcontractor pricing reviews, and preparation of proposals for new projects and change orders
Collaborate with the engineering design team to conduct site audits, commissioning, and report generation for scope of work recommendations for clients.?
Conduct quality control reviews of field work and construction documents.?
Participate in field operations by learning equipment use, understanding installation methods, and supporting project site activities through regular walkthroughs and construction progress documentation
Partner with clients and the design team to resolve issues and keep construction on track.?

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or a related field AND 0+ years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
OSHA-30 certification required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically in Microsoft Project and Excel
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong time management and attention to detail
Uses basic problem-solving skills to help track and resolve project issues
Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external collaboration
Ability to build and develop professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to support project collaboration and execution
Gains a basic understanding of Emotional Intelligence and its four domains
Understands the impact EQ has on self and others
Ability to work on computer for extended periods of time
Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Exposure to all outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, precipitation, and wind
Use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Exposure to high noise levels typical of job sites
Occasional travel to job sites required, at a minimum of once per month
