Warehouse Manager

Caesars Entertainment is the largest casino-entertainment company in the US, and they are seeking a Warehouse Manager to manage the Warehouse operations for their Lake Tahoe properties. The role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising personnel, maintaining inventory, and ensuring safety and efficiency in warehouse practices.

Responsibilities

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse Department
Supervises the receiving and storing of materials, equipment, merchandise and supplies; obtains proper paperwork from other departments, authorizing storage of non-inventory assets
Provides for the inspection of incoming warehouse materiel against orders and specifications for correctness and for defects; arranges for return of defective material through Purchasing and the Warehouse receiving area
Plans and assigns work for efficient use of personnel, equipment and available storage space
Supervises periodic and special inventories; reconciles book inventories with physical counts in the Warehouse
Maintains a good rapport and professional relationships in all dealings with vendors
Develops and recommends improvements in current clerical warehouse practices to promote efficiency, faster service, lower costs and maximum space utilization in warehouse storage facilities
Prepares budgets for the Warehouse and operates within approved budgets
Ensure that Warehouse facilities are kept clean and orderly; corrects any safety problems
Works closely with Purchasing regarding proper inventory par levels
Establishes safety policies and procedures and assures adherence to those policies
Counsels, guides and trains assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties. Prepares and presents the periodic performance reviews of assigned personnel
Recommends and/or approves changes in the department, including hiring, promoting, demoting and release of assigned personnel. Recommends wage and salary adjustments within established guidelines
Supervises the storage, issue, delivery, retrieval and disposal of record retention files stored at Warehouse facilities

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent. College preferred
Three to five years of supervisory experience
Two years warehouse experience
One-year supervisory experience; one year budget preparation and management experience
Leadership skills
Attention to detail
Valid drivers' license; must be able to be insured to operate company vehicles
Ability to operate trucks with manual transmission and be able to pass a medical examination for certification through Nevada
PC literate
Excellent math skills
Multi-tasking abilities in a rapidly changing environment
Proficiency in scheduling
English verbal and written communication skills
Ability to act in situations of urgency
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same

Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to constantly lift large, heavy objects weighing up to 60 lbs

Ability to lift drop boxes to countertop/surveillance camera height
Ability to work in a small area with the same people for extended periods of time
