QA/QC Field Engineer - Civil, Structural, Architectural

The QA/QC Field Engineer will provide essential support throughout the lifecycle of construction projects, managing quality control efforts on-site and collaborating with various stakeholders to address complex coordination issues.

Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate inspectors, trade contractors, and associated personnel
Perform onsite inspections in assigned scope (electrical, mechanical, utilities, civil/architectural/structural, commissioning, etc.)
Attend and provide details for QA/QC Meeting and Quality Team Meeting
Ensure all trade contractors are following their approved QA/QC Plans
Ensure all trade contractors are installing work in accordance with project documents, applicable codes and standards, and best work practices
Perform offsite and onsite inspections of Owner Furnished Equipment
Must be able to interpret and implement proper installations in compliance with all local authority permitting, codes, and site specifications
Provide clear communication, verbally, written, and electronically
Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years' construction QA/QC experience
Proven experience Structural engineer, erector, and/or inspection experience
Strong working knowledge of and competency in Field Management Software (BIM360 Field, Procore, Latista, etc.)
High School diploma or GED required
Bachelor of science in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering, construction management or equivalent degree and/or equivalent craft level work experience
A strong commitment to quality compliance with OSHA standards and site-specific requirements
Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation
Ability to manage several work activities at once while frequently interrupted by phone calls and urgent questions on work in progress
Advanced visual observation and interpretation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to work closely with clients, architects, engineers, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors
Must be a dedicated team player, self-starter, flexible and able to work well with a variety of personalities and minimal instruction
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites
Must be able to climb stairs, to ascend and descend ladders, scaffold, inspect confined or underground spaces
Must be able to safely operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license
Must have the ability to lift or manipulate fifty pounds to a height of three feet and carry or push it 50-100 feet
Must be able to physically access all areas and levels of construction site for work progress review
Work schedule must be flexible to allow for extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences
Must use independent judgment, organizational and critical thinking skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results
Preferred
Concrete pre-install, install, and/or inspection experience is preferred
Site and architectural installation and/or inspection experience is preferred
