Responsibilities

Design, develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites from concept to deployment
Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
Customize existing themes and plugins to meet specific business requirements
Ensure websites are responsive, secure, and optimized for performance and scalability
Implement SEO best practices and improve site speed and performance
Monitor website health, perform updates, backups, and security patches
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues efficiently
Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
Document development processes and technical configurations

Required

Strong experience with WordPress development
Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL
Experience developing custom themes and plugins from scratch
Solid understanding of WordPress core, hooks, and APIs
Familiarity with page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, or WPBakery
Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques
Understanding of web security best practices
Experience working with hosting environments, DNS, and SSL configurations
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Clear communication skills and ability to work within a team
Proactive mindset and willingness to suggest improvements

Preferred

Experience with WooCommerce and e-commerce solutions
Basic understanding of UX/UI principles
Experience with Git or other version control systems
Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations
Previous experience working in a remote or distributed team
