Responsibilities
Design and develop test software and test hardware (adapters, cables) for LRU and SRU testing
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated and semi-automated test systems
Execute tests, analyze logs, and troubleshoot IFEC products, systems, and components
Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts
Manage implementation of engineering change orders in test tools (HW/SW)
Support production, repair, airline repair stations, and contract manufacturers
Mitigate test issues and provide obsolescence solutions for test tools
Work with PSE, ISPM, and IFE Design Authority teams to troubleshoot tools and improve fault finding
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability
Communicate with internal stakeholders, OEMs, suppliers, CMs, and customers
Create, release, and maintain test engineering documentation and hardware drawings in Team Center
Lead meetings and represent GSRE and Thales with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate complex technical issues clearly and effectively
Support efforts to reduce sustaining and repair costs
Define project scope, level of effort, and estimated hours
Support procurement activities including RFQs, PR submissions, and order management
Work across office, GSRE lab, production floors, SILs, and warehouse environments
Occasional local and domestic/international travel may be required
Qualification
Required
NI LabVIEW / TestStand (development and troubleshooting of automated test sequences)
C Programming
Interfacing & Networking (Serial, Ethernet, IP/MAC addressing, VLAN, broadcast, multicast)
Windows 7/10/11 and Linux environments
Visual Studio
Communication protocols: Ethernet, USB, RS232, RS-422, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
Test instruments: spectrum analyzers, power meters, audio analyzers, signal/function generators, oscilloscopes
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, autonomous environment
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and 6+ years of relevant engineering experience
