Responsibilities
Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for experiments or testing
Assist lab technicians or scientists during experiments and procedures
Clean, sterilize, and maintain laboratory tools and workspaces
Label, store, and manage samples properly
Record observations, results, and maintain lab logs
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and hygiene protocols
Handle chemicals, specimens, or instruments as per guidelines
Dispose of laboratory waste safely
Monitor inventory and report low stock of lab supplies
Qualification
Required
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
Understanding of safety and hygiene standards
Ability to follow instructions accurately
Attention to detail
Good organizational skills
Basic documentation and record-keeping
Ability to work independently and in a team
Physically fit to stand for long hours (if required)
Preferred
Previous experience as a lab assistant or trainee
Familiarity with laboratory instruments and sample handling
