VICE PRESIDENT, EXPANSION
Youth For Christ USA Inc. is seeking a Vice President of Expansion to drive the growth and strategic execution of their mission. This role involves overseeing chapter leadership, church partnerships, and online mobilization, while fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring alignment with the organization's core values.

Responsibilities
Promote our interdependent national vision, thoughtfully implement our national strategy, mobilizing resources for this purpose (25%):
This leader will promote our interdependent national vision, thoughtfully implement our national strategy, mobilize people and manage resources from across the NSC and in collaboration with the greater movement of YFC. All of this so that our YFC strategic vision is properly positioned and progressing towards our Vision of seeing Gen Alpha known as a generation devoted to Christ
Leadership and Management of the Expansion Division (25%):
In addition to designing strategy, this leader also oversees a team of highly dedicated and talented department heads who will help execute the vision and strategy of the Expansion Division
This leader has a close working relationship with all department heads to ensure that the division is producing outcomes that will help achieve our preeminent goal
This leader will foster a supportive and collaborative environment where every team member feels valued and empowered. They will cultivate trust, provide clarity, and encourage growth through consistent feedback and development opportunities. By modeling excellence and care, they will create the conditions for their team to thrive and achieve their highest potential
Organizational and Mission Leadership (15%):
As a Vice President, this leader will engage in Organizational and cross-division leadership as needed to ensure the mission of YFC is progressing in a culture of continual improvement in line with our core values. This includes our operating priority of interdependence
Set a course of Exponential Chapter Growth in collaboration with Executive field leadership
Coordination and collaboration with the Office of the President and other division heads to accomplish movement priorities is essential
Field Engagement (35%):
This leader will be responsible for developing and maintaining a “Church site” or “network” site model that engages local churches and like-minded partnership in the relational evangelism of young people
This leader will have significant engagement with YFC leaders from across the mission and with Church Site Leadership to ensure that the Expansion Division is appropriately serving and leading the field in line with our desire to reach our preeminent goal
This leader will build an Executive Pipeline from identifying potential Executive Leaders to recruiting, to training to succession planning, ensuring that YFC is a nationally recognized leadership development expert, where it’s leaders will bring exceptional value to YFC and the Kingdom
This leader will provide the start-up leadership and team hiring 20of an online platform that will serve the YFC Movement, Church sites and Kingdom Partners
Like all employees in the Mission Expansion division, this leader will engage appropriately in organizational problem solving, as well as the issues that arise at their divisional level. This leader ensures that a holistic solution-oriented approach to problems is managed in line with all YFC USA policies and practices by utilizing all NSC and movement resources interdependently and as needed
Spiritual Responsibilities
Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel
As an employee of Youth for Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to:
Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives
Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC
Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events
Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression
YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA

Fundraising Responsibilities
All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts
For Chapter Staff: YFC may attach a minimum fundraising goal to certain projects, activities, departments, or individuals
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated success in strategic planning, organizational growth, and change management in a mission-driven or faith-based environment
Deep commitment to Christ and alignment with YFC's Statement of Faith and Cultural Attributes
Proven ability to inspire, mobilize, and influence diverse teams and stakeholders toward a common vision
Exceptional communication, relational, and listening skills with the ability to collaborate across organizational levels and church partners
Experience in developing leaders, succession planning, and building pipelines for long-term organizational health
Experience in leading through influence
Strong financial acumen and ability to mobilize and manage resources effectively
Skilled in innovation, Christ-centered design thinking, and problem solving in complex systems
Extensive successful experience in change management through influence
Ability to launch a start up department
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in leadership, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including managing senior leaders and leading large, complex teams
Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers is crucial
Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential
Sitting for extended periods is common
Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information, and to prepare or inspect documents
Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, occasionally move about inside the office to access files or office equipment, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, hand held devices, copy machine, and computer printer
No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force may be required
Good manual dexterity required for the use of computers, mobile devices, and other productivity technologies
The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting
Extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer and phone are normal
20% overnight travel to other regions of the country is expected for the position
