Responsibilities
Review and develop adequate manufacturing processes for new details and full forge tooling assemblies
Track and further develop the shops project review, routing, and tracking process
Support Senior Tooling Engineer with print detailing, tolerance feedback, and design
Learn and support Sales and Processing as needed
Support the manufacturing floor with providing adequate prints, models, and information
Determine in house builds vs outsources to achieve OTD, competitive costing, and balance capacities
Track projects and be the communicator between sales/customer and manufacturing
Work on the manufacturing floor as needed to learn all processes and support operations as needed
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in an engineering field related to manufacturing and 3 years of industry experience, or 7-10 years experience in metal manufacturing processes with training in project management
Knowledge of Metal Manufacturing Process: Process Planning, Design, Dimensioning and Tolerancing, CNC Programming and/or Machining, Grind, EDM, and Assembly
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational skills
Conflict resolution, decision making and problem-solving techniques
Customer relations, communication, and team skills
Ability to read/interpret various industry documents such as work prints, specifications, and certifications
3D CAD Modeling knowledge – Creo preferred, others accepted
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline
Knowledge of Forge Tooling applications and components
Knowledge of Metrology and Metallurgy Processes
AS400 knowledge
Experience with Lean Manufacturing Tools
Communication Skills (Ability to present to customers, coworkers, and management)
