Responsibilities
Provides a wide range of support within a functional area
Receives material and checks against documentation for nomenclature, identification and quantity. Sorts, counts and checks received goods, raw materials, finished or semi-finished parts. Stores articles in proper location according to identifying factors and researches part numbers
Pulls items and fills orders and issues material, supplies, and parts from stock. Counts or documents shortage
Keeps stock in orderly arrangement
May deliver material to requester
Maintains files and documentation as requested
Utilizes small hand tools, proportional scales, and operates materials handling equipment, including forklifts, skids, pallet handlers and hand trucks
Follows functional area’s processes and procedures in daily activities, troubleshoots as needed and recommends suggestions for continuous improvements to overall operations
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of experience
Working knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of department/field
Good verbal and written communication skills
Establishes effective working relationships at the work group level
