Responsibilities

Gather field data and verify plans against existing electrical systems

Analyze electrical infrastructure: switchgear, motor control centers, panelboards, circuit breakers, and more

Prepare preliminary reports, present recommendations, and assist with design plans

Inspect lift stations and report findings

Support engineers in planning, design, and specification writing

Complete City training modules

Required

Pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

Minimum two years of college completed

Interested in environmental engineering, water, and wastewater facilities

Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to analyze and improve systems

Able to communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, and utility staff

Understanding of electrical systems and infrastructure

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings, reports, and data

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift focus between projects

Willingness to learn and apply new methods in a practical, real-world utility setting
