University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a part-time Clinical Sciences Professional to contribute to a qualitative study focused on diverse sexual practices in transgender and gender diverse individuals. The role involves participant recruitment, conducting interviews, analyzing data, and assisting in grant writing and publication efforts.

Responsibilities

Recruit participants for additional interviews
Interview participants
Develop code book for complete interviews
Train research assistant in code book
Work with research assistant in coding all interviews with 25% double coding
Assist in writing up findings in manuscripts
Present findings at conferences
Assist in applying for additional funding

Required

Bachelor's degree in social/behavioral sciences, nursing, healthcare, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
One (1) year clinical research or related experience
Two (2) years clinical research or related experience
A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis
An advanced degree (Masters or PhD) may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
Outstanding customer service skills
Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information
Experience working with vulnerable populations and discussing sensitive topics
Excellent analytic skills
Ability to work independently after training

Preferred

Master's degree in healthcare related field or social/behavioral sciences, nursing, healthcare, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
Three (3) years of professional level experience in a role with direct clinical care
Previous experience working with transgender and gender diverse adults
Clinical work in healthcare related field
Grant-writing experience
