Responsibilities

Scope & Requirements Management: Continuously verify that all work stays within the agreed‑upon scope and that any changes are formally processed through a change‑order mechanism
Cost & Schedule Monitoring: Track actual costs and progress against the fixed price and baseline schedule, flagging any variances early to mitigate overruns
Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactively identify potential risks (e.g., technical, supply‑chain, resource) and implement mitigation plans to keep the project on‑budget
Performance Reporting: Produce concise status reports that focus on deliverable completion, cost burn‑rate, and any scope‑change impacts for both internal leadership and the customer
Stakeholder Coordination: Align internal teams (engineering, procurement, finance) and external partners to ensure all parties understand the fixed‑price constraints and collaborate efficiently to meet milestones

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
Hands-on experience with DOORS
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus U.S. citizenship
Successful candidates will have 8+ years of relevant engineering experience

Preferred

Recognized expertise in systems‑thinking techniques – proven ability to apply these methods to complex, cross‑disciplinary problems and to mentor teammates
Deep understanding of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) – fluent with MBSE processes, principles, and tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Cameo, SysML)
Broad experience across the full Systems Engineering life‑cycle – from concept through validation, using industry‑standard tools and best practices
Strong team collaboration, communication, and presentation skills – able to convey complex technical data clearly to customers, peers, and senior leadership
