Responsibilities

Designing and analyzing MRI sub-components including mechanical, electrical, structural, and thermodynamic elements
Performing thermodynamic and heat transfer analysis to determine heat loads and verify performance
Simulating and designing printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electrical components for RF coil systems
Supporting thermal and structural design efforts
Participating in verification and validation testing, including engineering builds
Conducting reliability and failure analysis of components
Developing service tools to support maintenance and safety
Preparing and presenting design analysis reports and drawing reviews
Supporting manufacturing and Lean initiatives

Required

Currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university
Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
At least a sophomore standing
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required

Preferred

GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred; however, we value a holistic view of candidates and encourage all students with relevant experience, curiosity, and a passion for engineering to apply
Demonstrated interest in medical technology, product development, or systems engineering
Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional team environments
Experience with CAD tools, simulation software, or lab-based prototyping is a plus
Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in mechanical, electrical, or biomedical engineering is beneficial
