Panel Fabricator

Systems in Motion is seeking a Panel Fabricator to assemble Electrical Control Panels, Junction Boxes, and wire harnesses. The role involves the physical assembly, wiring, and testing of control panels for industrial equipment, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures
Mounting of components to back panels and enclosures
Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards
Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation
Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions
Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication
Communicate red line changes to Engineer or Team Leader for revision prior to completion
Communicates effectively with all team members, leads, builders, engineers and the Project Manager · The ability to meet deadlines under pressure
A high standard of quality and attention to detail
Perform other duties as assigned or as needed
Ensure production area is kept clean and organized and a professional environment is maintained in all shop areas
Regularly make suggestions for improvement and work on continuous improvement projects for lean, quality, and safety
Work extended hours as per job requirements
Manage and verify incoming inventory, reconcile back ordered or incorrect parts, maintain project shelves per job number

Required

High School graduate or GED equivalent
Ability to understand and work from schematics
Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology required
Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management
Ability to use basic hand tools
Ability to use basic power tools
Required Computer Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet
A high standard of quality and attention to detail
The ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Work extended hours as per job requirements

Preferred

Prefer 1-2 years' experience working on control panels
Welding experience, preferred
Technical school attendance a plus
