Responsibilities
Lead Systems Engineering Across Complex, Mission-Critical Environments
Operate at the systems level, influencing requirements, architecture, and design decisions across complex environments
Serve as a technical authority, owning system integrity and supporting Government stakeholders on engineering decisions
Work across the full system lifecycle, from requirements analysis through integration, testing, and sustainment
Apply systems engineering rigor in environments that include network security, Linux-based systems, cloud platforms, and operational monitoring tools
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges and drive system-level outcomes
Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and high-level system architectures to develop and manage system and derived requirements
Lead system design and development activities, ensuring alignment with defined architectures and operational needs
Provide technical leadership across requirements integration, system design, verification, and implementation planning
Develop and review systems engineering documentation, including system architectures, design artifacts, and engineering plans
Support system integration, test planning, and lifecycle configuration management
Coordinate cross-discipline efforts through design reviews, test reviews, and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)
Interact directly with Government stakeholders to resolve technical issues, risks, and system engineering concerns
Support systems operating in environments that leverage network security controls, SIEM capabilities, Linux platforms, AWS, and scripting-based automation
Qualification
Required
Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Poly
Experience managing system and derived requirements for complex production systems
Strong background in system architecture, design trade studies, and requirements allocation across hardware, software, and services
A minimum of two (2) years of network security experience within the past two (2) years
Experience working in environments that include: Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, Linux operating environments, AWS-based systems, Scripting development
Familiarity with operational and collaboration tools such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, Forward Networks, and Confluence
Experience supporting verification planning, risk management, and system lifecycle configuration control
Proven ability to work across integrated product teams and coordinate efforts across multiple technical disciplines
Twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer supporting programs of similar scope, complexity, and mission criticality
Demonstrated experience planning and leading systems engineering efforts
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline
Five (5) additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
