Responsibilities
Work within AWS and Azure to provision, configure, and maintain Linux-based server environments
Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux environments (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE)
Serve as an escalation point for complex Linux-related incidents and problems
Manage kernel updates, patching, system tuning, and performance optimization
Design and maintain automation pipelines using Ansible, Python and Bash
Support the deployment and management of containerized and non-containerized applications
Handle support cases in an on-call environment
Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational KPIs, and compliance requirements
Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis for recurring issues
Partner with cross-functional teams (cloud, networking, storage, DevOps, security) to troubleshoot and deliver integrated solutions
Contribute to capacity planning, system lifecycle management, and environment standardization
Qualification
Required
5–7+ years of hands-on Linux system administration or engineering experience
1–3 years in a supervisory, team lead, or senior-level support role
Strong proficiency with enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE)
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
Strong scripting skills (Ansible or Bash required; Python or similar preferred)
Experience with configuration management or automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Minimum of AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals certification
Preferred
Minimum of LPIC-1 or Linux+ certification
Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
Familiarity with Terraform
Experience with database management systems, particularly MySQL and PostgreSQL
Experience with ServiceNow
