Responsibilities
Design electrical system architectures and schematics, including wiring diagrams and harness layouts
Develop electrical topologies for Drive-By-Wire systems, defining components, connections, and signal routing
Design, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify wiring harnesses and electrical subsystems
Perform harness pin mapping and reverse-engineering activities as required
Assemble and test experimental wiring harnesses, electronic modules, and electrical components
Troubleshoot electrical prototypes and production hardware to resolve functional deviations
Analyze serial communication buses (e.g., CAN) at both the electrical signal and data levels
Program embedded electronic modules using logical or visual programming languages, as required
Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures and perform corrective and preventative maintenance
Execute installations and modifications based on wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications
Adjust or replace defective circuitry and electronic components using hand tools and soldering equipment
Conduct electrical testing using standard test equipment and analyze results to evaluate system performance
Plan, perform, document, and report periodic electrical testing activities
Maintain current knowledge of tools, technologies, and industry best practices through training, workshops, or conferences
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
5–7 years of hands-on experience in electrical systems integration, testing, and troubleshooting
Strong experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, protocol analyzers, and power supplies
Experience with electrical schematic and circuit design using CAD tools
Proficiency in building and testing wiring harnesses in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
Knowledge of electrical wire routing best practices
Experience with basic electronic module programming
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, calendaring)
Basic mechanical assembly knowledge
Hands-on experience using hand tools; soldering experience preferred
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands regularly throughout the workday
Comfortable working on and around heavy equipment, including climbing on and off large machinery
