Responsibilities

Lead research investigating how dysfunction of defined neural circuits contributes to the initiation and progression of neurodegenerative diseases, with a primary focus on cerebellar circuit pathology
Design and execute experiments that integrate molecular, cellular, and systems-level approaches to define molecular correlates of excitation-inhibition balance within cerebellar networks
Perform in vivo two-photon calcium imaging
Assess circuit dynamics and state-dependent neuronal activity
Stereotaxic viral delivery of genetically encoded reporters and chemogenetic tools
Manuscript and grant writing
Presentation of findings at scientific meetings
Mentoring of junior trainees
Active participation in collaborative, interdisciplinary projects
