Responsibilities
Researching accounting principles and writing documentation regarding application to our company’s accounting practices
Preparing and entering general journal entries
Performing monthly account reconciliations
Performing daily revenue billings
Performing Outside Storage Reconciliations
Participate in monthly plant cost center reviews
Assisting with month end closings and financial reports
Interns/Co-ops will contribute to the day-to-day activities and special projects for GLC
Key deliverables will depend on the candidate skills and capabilities
Collaborate with multiple levels of Finance organization on projects when applicable
Lead efforts to ensure platform sustainability and accuracySupport AP with invoice entry or OCR corrections
All GLC interns are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures
Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager
Qualification
Required
Current college student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, or related field
Year in school: Incoming Sophomore/Junior/ or Senior
Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship both now and in the future
Preferred
Strong attention to detail, data analysis, and reporting skills
Strong communication, presentation, and team skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, able to work well independently
