Composites Manufacturing Engineer
Visioneering Inc. is a full-service provider to the aerospace industry, offering high-quality design, engineering, and tooling since 1953. They are seeking a Composites Manufacturing Engineer responsible for designing and optimizing composite manufacturing processes while collaborating with various teams to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities
Evaluate composite manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed
Interpret composite tooling/parts requirements
Assist with material selection, especially with fiber-reinforced polymers and resins
Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions and travelers
Troubleshoot issues specific to composite manufacturing (e.g., delamination, fiber misalignment)
Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of composite tooling/parts
Recommend and implement improvements in composite processing techniques (e.g., autoclave, resin infusion, hand lay-up)
Ensure designs and processes meet FAA, EASA, DoD, and company-specific requirements
Provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams during lamination and assembly
Assistant in resolving shop-floor issues such as material, curing cycles, and bonding issues
Improve manufacturability, reduce scrap, and optimize cycle times
Support first article inspections (FAI), when applicable
Maintain configuration control and adherence to quality management systems (AS9100/NADCAP)
Contribute to corporate quality policy and objectives
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience with composite materials and processes is highly desirable
Independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workloads
Ability to work with a diverse group of external and internal contacts at all levels of the organization
Strong problem-solving and effective communication skills required
High School diploma or GED required
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required- No sponsorship offered
Preferred
Expansive experience in quality systems (AS9100/NADCAP)
Experience with CAD (CATIA)
Bachelor's degree in a composites engineering -related field
