Akkodis is seeking a Playwright Automation Tester for a contract with a client in McLean, VA. The role involves building end-to-end Playwright frameworks, executing E2E and API tests, and enabling continuous testing through DevOps integration.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain a robust end‑to‑end automation framework using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript for web applications
Create and execute high‑quality automated test scripts covering functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end (E2E) scenarios
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) to support continuous testing and gated deployments
Develop and maintain automated API tests to validate backend services, data integrity, and system reliability
Perform cross‑browser testing across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit to ensure consistent application behavior and performance
Identify, log, and track defects in JIRA, collaborate with developers to resolve issues, and participate in code reviews to ensure test code quality, scalability, and maintainability

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field
8–10 years of professional experience in test automation and quality engineering, with a strong focus on web application testing

Proven experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and working with cross‑browser testing, API automation, and defect tracking tools
