They are seeking a detail-oriented IP Docketing Specialist to support a busy intellectual property practice by maintaining accurate patent and trademark dockets, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring compliance with U.S. and international IP filing requirements.

Responsibilities

Maintain and manage patent and trademark dockets, ensuring accuracy of deadlines and filings for U.S. and foreign matters
Docket and monitor critical dates related to USPTO, WIPO, and foreign patent and trademark offices, including filings, responses, renewals, and maintenance fees
Review and interpret correspondence from the USPTO, foreign associates, and IP authorities to calculate and enter deadlines
Generate docket reports and proactively notify attorneys and legal staff of upcoming deadlines
Ensure compliance with firm policies, USPTO rules, and international IP regulations
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and foreign associates to resolve docketing discrepancies and deadline issues
Assist with audits, quality control reviews, and continuous improvement of docketing procedures

Required

2+ years of experience in IP docketing, patent prosecution, trademark prosecution, or IP legal support
Working knowledge of U.S. and international patent and trademark procedures and deadlines
Proficiency with IP docketing software (e.g., CPI, Anaqua, FoundationIP, PATTSY, WebTMS, or similar)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred

Experience in a law firm or in-house IP department
