Augusta University is Georgia's innovation center for education and health care, and they are seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Department of Art and Design. This role involves managing communications, coordinating HR processes, and assisting with departmental events and projects.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for departmental phones, email, and walk-in inquiries
Manage departmental calendar for departmental events, schedule meetings and reserve rooms
Manage the Chair’s calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments
Assist with faculty recruitment processes and onboarding tasks
Transcribe meeting minutes and prepare correspondence, and reports
Run enrollment reports
Compile and organize data for departmental reports, accreditation reports, enrollment summaries, and budget tracking
Support the Chair in planning departmental events, visiting artist programs, and special projects
Support planning and execution of departmental events, visiting artist agendas, and special projects
Assist with logistics for exhibitions, performances, and student showcases
Create and send weekly events emails to students, faculty and community members
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions
OR
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from a recognized state or federal accrediting organization and six years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with university systems (e.g., PACT)
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities with attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
