Responsibilities

Manages Office of Electricity (OE) correspondence and Executive Secretariat (EXECSEC) action items
Utilizes tracking systems like eDOCS and SharePoint to log, route, track, and manage the workflow of controlled and non-controlled correspondence, ensuring timely responses and required concurrences from internal OE and external DOE offices
Provides operational support by assisting with the preparation of Congressional reports, drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and generating weekly status reports
Recommends and identifies opportunities to streamline procedures, capture performance metrics, and optimize operations related to correspondence, IT, recordkeeping, and other business functions to improve efficiency and identify potential cost savings
Assisting in the preparation of Congressional reports
Drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Generating status reports on outstanding actions
Identifying opportunities to streamline business processes, capture performance metrics, and optimize operations to improve efficiency and identify potential cost savings

Required

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
A minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience in supporting federal, state, or local programs
Strong knowledge of DOE administrative policies and procedures
Strong project management and stakeholder facilitation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills
Experience in generating weekly status reports
Experience in providing operational support
Detail oriented, flexible, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks quickly to adapt to changing client priorities and respond to ad-hoc requests
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'PUBLIC TRUST'; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse
Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship restrictions apply
This in-person position role requires up to 5 days on-site at the Client's office
This in-person position is open to candidates who will reside within 50 miles of DC

Preferred

Bachelor's in Communications or a similar field
Direct experience utilizing tracking systems like eDOCS and SharePoint
