Responsibilities
Provide legal counsel on consumer protection, data privacy, and marketing compliance matters for Amazon Ads products and services
Partner with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, data scientists, and privacy specialists to enable innovative advertising solutions
Review and advise on AI-powered advertising applications, including agentic systems and machine learning implementations
Draft, negotiate, and advise on advertising agreements, technology licensing arrangements, and commercial partnerships
Conduct legal research on novel regulatory questions and develop practical compliance frameworks
Support product launches by identifying legal risks and developing business-enabling solutions
Collaborate with global legal colleagues on cross-border advertising initiatives
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
5+ years of legal experience
Preferred
Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
Can use AI for legal research, contract analysis, or document review
Experience in search advertising, search marketing, performance advertising, or similar digital advertising
Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form
