Responsibilities

Provide legal and administrative support to the CARS team
Assist CARS prosecutor with all stages of case preparation and prosecution
Research at the direction of the CARS prosecutor
Draft and prepare a variety of legal documents and correspondences, including but not limited to victim and witness notifications, motions, and legal memoranda
Prepare outgoing correspondence
File maintenance including purging closed files
Collect and maintain statistical data for CARS cases
Assist in preparing quarterly reports per grant guidelines that include dispositions, dismissals, and special conditions of each CARS case
Assist the Immediate Charging Unit with the investigation and charging of cases, making discovery requests as directed, and
Other duties as directed or delegated

Required

Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills

The applicant must pass a criminal background investigation, which includes fingerprinting
