They are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to take ownership of the financial close process for their Texas entity, overseeing outsourced team members and managing complex intercompany and payroll accounting.

Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of the monthly close process for the Texas entity, ensuring it is completed accurately and strictly within timelines
Prepare intercompany entries based on specific agreements, ensuring full understanding of both Tax and US GAAP implications
Collaborate with the FP&A team to ensure proper General Ledger coding and department allocation on financial statements; implement process improvements to ensure coding accuracy at the source
Prepare quarterly reports for debt covenants and assist in the preparation of audited financial statements
Utilize strong excel skills and working knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio to generate and analyze large data sets using existing report scripts for the preparation of the month-end entries for our Texas subsidiary
Establish and enforce payroll processes to ensure proper accounting methods in accordance with US GAAP and company policies
Execute a comprehensive review and approval of payroll for timely submission on a bi-monthly basis
Prepare accurate bonus accruals as part of the month-end close
Support annual audits with external auditors and complete internal control testing on a quarterly basis
Ensure compliance with sales tax and franchise/business tax, including the preparation and filing of reports as needed
Work with internal and outsourced teams to resolve accounting issues, review reports, and provide US GAAP guidance
Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by outsourced team members
Manage the insurance renewal process, prepare files for renewals, issue Certificates of Insurance (COI) as requested by business stakeholders, and file claims
Partner with other departments to obtain necessary information for the month-end close and collaborate with the Controller on ad-hoc tasks and reporting needs
Qualification
Required
Detail-oriented with strong knowledge of US GAAP
Experience in managing the financial close process
Ability to oversee outsourced team members
Experience with intercompany and payroll accounting
Strong Excel skills
Working knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio
Experience in financial analysis and reporting
Ability to establish and enforce payroll processes
Experience in audit support and compliance
Ability to prepare and file tax reports
Experience in managing insurance processes
Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
