Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture and specimen collection using established safety and identification protocols to ensure accuracy and patient comfort
Process, label, and prepare specimens for testing or sendout, following laboratory procedures and transport requirements
Maintain organized work areas and monitor inventory levels, ensuring adequate supplies for routine and specialty testing
Verify specimen information, resolve basic collection or labeling issues, and communicate with nursing or clinical staff to support timely testing
Enter and track specimen data in laboratory systems, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory and quality standards
Participate in rotating laboratory support duties as assigned to maintain efficient workflow across all service areas
