Undergraduate Program Assistant

Assisting students with degree and course planning
Processing major/minor changes
Registration overrides
Updating course listings
Completing degree clearances
Monitoring course waitlists
Scheduling classes and classrooms throughout the year
Assisting with summer schedules and instructor assignments
Participating in special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Two years of general clerical experience, one year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An Associate's degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR
Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology and one year of general clerical experience
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
Experience with and/or commitment to working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, in support of an inclusive and welcoming environment
Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team, providing support where needed
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 software, including the ability to learn new software
Ability to understand, explain, and clarify rules, processes, and procedures
Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and by electronic means
Ability to interact appropriately in difficult situations and conversations
Preferred
Experience in a college or university setting
Experience working with Banner Information System and/or IBM Cognos Integrative Data and Reporting (IDR)
Experience with communications and/or social media
Experience planning and/or coordinating special events
