Responsibilities
Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities for the Social Services and Agency Administration divisions
Responsible for the completion and submission of monthly and quarterly County Welfare Assistance Claims and statistical reports to the California Department of Social Services in accordance with State and Federal regulations
Review and process payments for Agency expenses, Public Assistance benefit issuances, general ledger journals, and employee expense reimbursements
Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations of expenditures and deposits for review and approval by Fiscal management
Provide support to Agency program staff
Create and utilize tracking spreadsheets
Work on a variety of special projects involving research and data collection
Qualification
Required
Two years of progressive, directly related experience in financial record keeping work preferably including experience in an accounting position and/or with a government agency
Equivalent to completion of two years of college with course work in accounting, financial record keeping, or a closely related field. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the college education on a year-for-year basis)
Possession of a valid California Driver's License
Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.e. active and in good standing) at all times during employment with Napa County
