Sales Account Manager
Qantas is Australia’s largest airline, and they are seeking a Sales Account Manager to drive growth in North America. The role involves managing a portfolio of key customers in the leisure industry, maximizing revenue, and developing strong relationships with clients.

Challenge yourself to play a core role in the growth of Qantas in North America, working to identify key trends, opportunities to grow commercial performance
Be part of a team that values safety, recognition and teamwork
Manage a portfolio of key customers in the North America Leisure Industry, including Tour, Wholesale, Consortium, Meetings and Incentive clients in addition to frequent engagements with our Tourism partners as defined under a specific portfolio of accounts
Work to maximise revenue, increase yield, retain existing business and develop new business opportunities as well as understand the customer strategy, and develop a strong, robust relationship with the customer
Selling, account management and business planning skills developed in a competitive customer service environment
Initiative to plan, create and deliver all required training to front line consultants and managers for all accounts within the portfolio (ex; Qantas fare products, the customer experience, Qantas Frequent Flyer program, and key strategic alliance partners)
Strong commercial sales orientation and a solid level of business acumen
Confident negotiation, communication, organisational and leadership skills
Ability to contribute to the development of strategies for revenue generation, cost of sale reductions, channel shift and business retention
Understanding of Alliance networks and a unified sales approach with mutual customers
Solid knowledge and awareness of the North American airline and travel industry
Current understanding of technology innovations within travel industry (NDC)
Strong communication skills and can communicate effectively at all levels of management, both internally and externally
A valid drivers’ licence
High level of IT literacy, including a good working knowledge of MS Office, high level knowledge of Salesforce.com
