Program Director
Profound Treatment is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for individuals on their recovery journey. The Program Director will oversee daily program operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive performance and quality improvement across all service lines while leading multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment.

Responsibilities
Provide daily leadership, supervision, and operational oversight of all program and facility functions
Implement organizational philosophy, strategic plans, and policies and procedures
Maintain direct communication with the CEO regarding urgent issues, operational decisions, and program needs
Conduct regular facility rounds to ensure client satisfaction, safety, and program integrity
Serve as on‑call designee for emergencies or assign appropriate coverage
Ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations, including DHCS and other governing bodies
Maintain adherence to accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission)
Lead and support accreditation visits, audits, and corrective action planning
Address deficiencies, grievances, and compliance findings in a timely and effective manner
Oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions for all program staff
Conduct annual performance evaluations for direct reports
Identify staff development needs and promote a culture of continuous training and professional growth
Schedule and lead staff meetings and required trainings
Collaborate with the Medical Director, Clinical Supervisor, Quality Assurance Manager, and other key partners to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
Provide clinical backup by facilitating individual or group counseling sessions as needed
Conduct and oversee individualized, ethical ACA interventions
Support client transportation needs when required
Monitor client satisfaction through surveys, feedback, reviews, and community meetings
Evaluate audit results and implement corrective action plans to enhance program quality
Ensure a safe, therapeutic, and client‑centered environment
Maintain strong relationships with admissions, billing, medical staff, and external service providers
Collaborate with billing and clinical teams to optimize length of stay and billing efficiency
Serve as point of contact for program tours, accreditation officials, and external partners
Pursue ongoing education and maintain affiliations with professional organizations related to behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment
Qualification
Required
Current TB test, First Aid/CPR certification, and valid CA Driver's License
Ability to pass random UA/breathalyzer testing per company policy
Demonstrated leadership experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or a related healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards (DHCS, Joint Commission, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to motivate and lead diverse teams
Strong organizational, administrative, and problem‑solving skills
Minimum four years of continuous sobriety required
Experience in a residential or outpatient substance use disorder treatment program
Prior leadership experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams
Familiarity with quality assurance processes and performance improvement initiatives
Preferred
Certification with CCAPP or CAADE, and/or licensure with the California BBS (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW)
