This position works with Finance J8 to provide Senior Leader reports to disclose Unliquidated Obligations that do not have a legal basis, or are not properly authorized and supported by appropriate documentation. Cont
Provides recurring updates to Senior Leadership and develops comprehensive ULO/UDO database reflecting which requirements have been completed and closed out; and under which no future expenditures are expected
Ensures the receipt of program/budget guidance from external authorities, prepares budget guidance and coordinates budget requirements across the enterprise
Monitors the use of resources in support of DLA’s strategic plan
Reviews the overall financial hierarchy structure requirements in relation to the requirements defined by the approved budget
Analyzes and articulates the agency-level financial and business management reports

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position
To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector
Creditable specialized experience includes: Budgeting experience; including but not limited to planning, programming and execution of sound fiscal budgets within an assigned organization(s)
Programming authority related to midterm and long-range resource allocation, and financial performance goal setting
Conducting complex financial analysis using qualitative and quantitative methods, such as evaluating KPIs, performing variance analysis, forecasting cash requirements, or analyzing cost accounting data
Applying federal financial laws, regulations, and policies (e.g., DoD FMR, OMB guidance, PPBE processes, appropriation law) to develop recommendations, resolve budget issues, or ensure audit readiness and internal control compliance
