Education Sales Development Director

WRiTE BRAiN WORLD is a mission-driven education company transforming K-12 literacy and SEL through creativity and project-based learning. They are seeking an experienced sales professional to lead sales development activities, manage customer relationships, and support the growth of their educational programs.

Responsibilities

Meet or exceed quarterly sales goals
Develop and accurately maintain active sales pipeline for selling WRiTE BRAiN WORLD programs into schools and districts
Manage the entire customer relationship cycle, from prospecting, pitching, converting to closing, and continue to serve as the main relationship owner throughout the program implementation period
Represent company at industry events including educational product conferences: conduct sales activities at company booth, participate on panels, etc
Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas to support the overall growth of the portfolio
Liaise with marketing team to ensure that their efforts drive awareness and helps to convert prospects into leads

Required

7+ years of experience selling student-facing products and/or professional development services directly to the education sector
Active network of decision-makers at the school and district level
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
7-10+ years of experience working in the K12 education sector and a fluency in the industry dynamics that impact WRiTE BRAiN's business including education policy, curriculum standards, federal and state educational funds, etc
Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully generating valuable partnerships, closing deals and meeting revenue goals
Experience in working directly with CEO and other senior-most management to align sales strategies and solutions
Experience working in a small business environment with an understanding of fast-paced culture and challenges
Flexibility in scheduling is required
Proactive self-starter, highly independent, motivated and resourceful
Ability to see granular as well as big-picture challenges
Excellent communications, project management, interpersonal and organizational skills
Willingness to travel as there will be significant statewide travel and occasional national travel to conferences, key accounts, etc

Detail-oriented rockstar with proven track record in education sales
Master communicator (written & verbal) who can liaise with teachers, principals, and district leaders
Tech-savvy (Google Suite, Asana, CRMs) and highly organized
Flexible & proactive—you thrive when priorities shift
Passionate about equity—you want to support underserved students and educators
