HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER II
Washoe County is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner II to perform advanced technical and analytical work in public human resources management. The role involves providing guidance and support in areas such as recruitment, classification, employee relations, and workforce planning, while fostering strong partnerships with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Provide guidance and support to departments in the areas of recruitment, classification and compensation, employee relations, and workforce planning
Conduct recruitments for assigned County departments to include developing customized recruitment plans, selecting appropriate examination materials, and providing guidance on the interview and selection process
Provide guidance and support to departments on workplace issues, management actions, and complaint resolution
Approach sensitive situations with neutrality, professionalism, and discretion, while maintaining focus on both compliance and constructive outcomes
Qualification
Required
Two years of full-time professional experience in a public or private human resources program
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business administration, public administration, human resources, or a closely related field
A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment in this classification
Preferred
Experience conducting or supporting workplace investigations, mediating employee concerns, or assisting in disciplinary and corrective action processes
