Responsibilities
Fund Portfolio Management: SEI will be investing in a broad portfolio of specialist funds backing the future of the financial services space. It will be your role to act as a key relationship manager with those funds, arranging regular catch ups, collecting and analyzing performance data and tracking key trends, technologies and portfolio companies
Value Realization and Growth Acceleration: Act as a key point of contact for SEI and our LPs with a particular focus on being a specialist resource for questions on tech trends in our space
Develop and present quarterly research reports on what is happening at the forefront of our industry. Maximize learning and growth for SEI and our partners
See and seize opportunities for value creation and realization, grounded in what the market needs or will need
Build expertise, capacity and agility by creating and developing a strong external network of entrepreneurs, advisors, partners and investors
Organizational Collaboration and Trust Building: Lead with an enterprise mindset, as an integral part of the wider team and organization. Challenge the status quo in a way that brings others along. Anticipate and proactively address areas of potential friction
Build deep relationships with business, operational, people, product, technology, legal, risk, marketing and sales teams across the organization, helping them clearly see the potential of our investments and work with the wider ventures team to align with the company needs and define a plan and execute seamlessly
Performance Metrics and Reporting: Proactively set leading indicators and key performance metrics, and report regularly, clearly and at the right level across the organization to all stakeholders, on portfolio, strategic alignment, progress on execution and commercialization, engagement of the community, return on investment, impact, value creation, key opportunities and risks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or a related field; or equivalent experience preferred
Master's degree is a plus
8-10 years of experience in operating businesses, corporate venture capital, technology or financial services funds, strategic investments, corporate development or partnerships
Preferred
Expert at unlocking commercial opportunities, new business models and market strategies
Deep understanding of market innovation, startup dynamics and emerging technologies
Experience in creating and nurturing successful partnerships
Demonstrated strategic thinking and execution – a catalyst who brings others with them
Established reputation for excellent team leadership, empowerment, and people development
