Responsibilities
Works with reimbursement, revenue cycle and the regional finance teams to understand the monthly net revenue projections prior to month-end close
Reviews all month-end journal entries prepared by the net revenue senior and staff team members prior to the entry being posted
Reviews the calculated net revenue results completed by the reimbursement senior and staff team members and analyzes results
Understands any deviations from projections, trends and budget
Reviews close packages prior to being sent out, and coordinates, oversees and participates in various monthly net revenue close meetings with regional and market finance officers
Ensures the reimbursement team members adhere to month-end close checklist, timeline and policies
Reviews all net revenue month-end reconciliations (balance sheet and income statement)
Assists in the development and documentation of standardized policies and procedures around net revenue reporting
Coaches/mentors analysts to help them improve the quality of their work and develop their careers
Supervises employees in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws
Assumes responsibility for interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting or equivalent combination of education/related experience
Seven years' experience in an accounting role within a healthcare environment
Five years' leadership experience
Preferred
Master's Degree in business administration
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
