The James M Hull College of Business seeks a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Marketing to teach, engage in research, and contribute to faculty development.

Course load will be three courses per semester term, or about 50% of workload
Service in the college committees
Research and faculty development
Qualification
Required
Applicants must hold (or receive before start of employment) a PhD in marketing or closely related field
Demonstrated capability or potential in developing discipline relevant peer-reviewed intellectual contributions is required
Demonstrated capability or potential for teaching excellence within the discipline
Experience in hospitality
Assistant Professor- Early level career as a faculty member
Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation
Evidence of ability as a teacher
Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned
Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements)
Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations
Preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
Effective teaching experience in digital marketing and/or social media at the undergraduate level is preferred
A record of excellence in teaching and learning is desired
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Published or forthcoming peer-reviewed publications in the marketing and related disciplines are a plus
Prior work experience in digital marketing and/or social media
Interest in interaction and relationship-building with local businesses, industry, and stakeholders is a plus
Having online teaching experience
