Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and supervise a team of People Business Partners supporting multiple locations within the region
Ensure the PBP team delivers consistent, high-quality People support to leaders and employees across the region
Set team priorities, allocate workload, and ensure timely execution of People initiatives and business needs
Build strong field relationships and elevate People team partnership across the region
Partner with regional and site leadership to align People strategy with operational and business goals
Guide leaders through workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent strategy
Identify trends and proactively recommend solutions that improve engagement, retention, performance, and culture
Serve as escalation point for complex People situations and leader advisement
Ensure fair, consistent application of company policies, practices, and employment laws across the region
Provide oversight and support for employee relations investigations, corrective action, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans
Maintain strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure compliance across sites
Partner with Legal on sensitive matters as needed
Drive consistent talent processes: hiring support, onboarding, development, performance cycles, and retention planning
Translate People programs into actionable plans that drive adoption in field locations
Lead regional execution of key initiatives (e.g., engagement surveys, leadership development, compensation reviews, new policy rollouts)
Support change management efforts and communication plans for organizational changes and restructuring efforts
Serve as key partner during mergers, acquisitions, and organizational restructures, ensuring smooth transitions
Monitor key HR metrics and trends including turnover, retention, engagement, corrective actions, open roles, time-to-fill, and employee feedback
Use data to identify root causes and implement measurable improvement plans

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of progressive HR experience, including PBP experience supporting leaders in a multi-site or regional environment
3+ years of people management experience supervising PBPs
Experience partnering with operations leaders on consistent, compliant employee relations practices in a union environment
Experience partnering with HR COEs (Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development)
Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, employment law, and HR best practices
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Strong analytical ability and comfort using data to influence decisions
Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, manage competing priorities, and drive results in fast-paced environments

Preferred

Experience in cannabis, manufacturing or retail environments
Multi-state compliance experience and exposure to both exempt/non-exempt workforce populations
Experience leading or supporting high-growth, multi-state expansion
