Senior Change Analyst

The Department of Conservation (DOC) is dedicated to protecting and restoring nature across Aotearoa. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Change Analyst to support change management initiatives, delivering technical change analysis and collaborating with stakeholders to improve processes.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical change analysis and guidance in various formats tailored to diverse audiences and objectives working either alongside a change manager or as a standalone change practitioner
Analyse impacts of changes and develop comprehensive communication and training plans with support from our comms and change partners
Support the Change Managers with and/or lead change management activities for various projects
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current processes and identify areas for improvement
Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather feedback and promote engagement with impacted teams and users
Monitor and report on the progress of change initiatives and readiness
Provide coaching and support to project teams and stakeholders throughout the change process

Required

A tertiary qualification and/or equivalent knowledge from experience, e.g. a bachelor's degree in a field such as Business Administration, Management, Organisational Psychology, or Project Management
3+ years of experience in change management or similar role
Certifications or equivalent knowledge of project management methodology such as Prince2, CCMP or CMI
Familiarity with change management methodologies and best practices, such as Prosci, ADKAR, or similar models
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities in complexity and ambiguity
Deep understanding of human elements involved in the change process, along with empathy for the needs and concerns of professionals and communities
