Pediatric Nurse Manager / Registered Nurse (RN)
Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. (CIFC) is seeking a full-time Pediatric Nurse Manager / Registered Nurse (RN). The role involves supervising clinical support staff, ensuring quality patient communication and care, and managing the operations of the Pediatric Department.

Responsibilities
Provides daily direction and supervision of the clinical support staff as per the above
Confirming “on-call” schedules for the Pediatric Medicine Department, and ensuring proper dissemination of the schedule (i.e. Rainbow Babies, Accurate Answer, etc.)
Develops clinical support staff goals and objectives in alignment with the CIFC Health mission & goals
Collaborates with the management team in the strategic planning process to support organizational initiatives
Collaborates with School Based Health Center staff and support scheduling as appropriate
Participate in Staff Quality Assurance Committee Meetings
Ensures the best interest of the CIFC Health and employees in accordance with policies, procedures and governmental laws and regulations; recommends personnel actions
Establishes, with Chief of Pediatric Medicine and other CIFC Health leadership personnel, appropriate interdisciplinary models of care for assigned Health Center unit(s)
Ensures clinical support staff adherence to CIFC Health human resources policy. Resolves personnel problems and enforces disciplinary actions
Works to keep staff morale high
Establishes clinical staff meeting schedules and conducts weekly meetings with RNs, LPNs and Lead MA
Responsible for the protection of the privacy of all staff, physicians and patients, by instituting, managing and using proper procedures
Interface with management, staff, and providers to implement systems, and advance program improvements, and assure proper organization & monitoring of all clinical systems
Supervise and troubleshoot patient flow related systems from beginning to end of patient visit
Promote communication and proper information flow within the GDCHC
Oversee and troubleshoot medical management software systems
Provides direct clinical services of an LPN or RN, (as licensed) if required for the proper delivery of patient services and the exigencies of clinical operations
Other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experience in a supervisory role within a clinical setting
Ability to collaborate with clinical and administrative staff
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures
Experience in quality assurance and performance improvement
Ability to develop and implement staff goals and objectives
Experience in scheduling and coordinating clinical staff
Ability to manage and troubleshoot clinical systems and patient flow
Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
