Responsibilities

Proactively Maintain Customer Relationships: Maintain relationships with key customers and act as the primary feedback loop into service sales and technical support groups to ensure all opportunities are captured. Not sure this is right? What else can be customer focus?
Customer Support: Provide exceptional on-site customer service by addressing client inquiries, offering technical support, and ensuring their satisfaction with the services provided. This will ensure a high first-time fix rate and enhance customer happiness
Perform Planned Customer Visits: Regularly visit customer sites as scheduled by the field service planner to inspect and service industrial vacuum pumps and associated equipment. These visits include routine maintenance due to service plans, as well as ad hoc visits to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns
Troubleshoot and Repair On-Site: Diagnose issues accurately and perform necessary repairs directly at the customer’s location to minimize downtime and maintain system efficiency
Undertake Installation and Commissioning: Carry out installation and commissioning of vacuum technology products in line with global standards, ensuring complete customer satisfaction
Safety Compliance: Adhere to and promote strict safety protocols while working at customer sites, including conducting Last Minute Risk Assessments and using prescribed Personal Protective Equipment
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of on-site maintenance activities, repairs, and any issues encountered, providing comprehensive reports to clients and management
Preventive Maintenance: Identify potential problems during site visits before they escalate and offer preventive maintenance solutions to avoid future disruptions
Lead Generation: Proactively generate leads for the Sales team while on-site
Training and Mentoring: Provide training to colleagues and customers, and share lessons learned to enhance the exchange of experiences and foster a strong network
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in vacuum technology and continuously improve technical skills to provide the best possible service during field visits
Collaboration: Work with the internal team to find optimal solutions for customer-specific situations, ensuring the best advice and support are provide

Qualification

Required

Comprehensive understanding of various types of vacuum pumps (e.g., rotary vane, scroll, turbomolecular) and their operational principles
2-4 years experience in a similar role
General understanding of mechanical processes
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot issues within (vacuum) systems
Great foundation in both electrical and mechanical engineering principles to repair components such as motors, seals, and control systems
Able to legally work in the U.S
Valid Driver's License
