Security Systems Service Technician

Responsibilities
Collaborate in the commissioning of new security systems at customer sites, ensuring their proper setup and functionality
Thoroughly document commissioning details and effectively communicate deficiencies and progress to relevant stakeholders
Perform rigorous testing and inspections on systems covered by maintenance agreements to maintain peak performance
Respond promptly to system issues, conducting troubleshooting and executing repairs to restore optimal functionality
Identify and address code and non-conformance issues to ensure systems meet required standards
Work alongside mentors, Lead Technicians, and Team Leaders to plan tasks efficiently and effectively
Qualification
Required
Electro-mechanical experience (either in a previous role or through education) and user PC/software skill
Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management
Must be willing and able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
Experience with Microsoft Office
Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred
High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
1+ years' experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
