Workforce Development Program Associate
Black Women Thriving East of the River (BWTEotR) is an inclusive organization focused on transforming workforce development for Black women in DC. The Workforce Development Program Associate will provide essential support to the program manager and advocacy director, assisting in logistics, data management, outreach, and advocacy efforts.

Responsibilities
Manage the scheduling, setup, and logistics for cohort workshops and informational sessions (both in-person and virtual)
Assist the Program Manager in collecting, compiling, and aggregating key performance data, case notes, and success stories to support timely reports and resources that demonstrate progress and inform next steps
Take notes during meetings, transfer action items to the organization’s project management system, and ensure timely follow-ups
Support and/or lead workforce development program components
Assist with engaging Pathways Fellows as ambassadors who support outreach, storytelling, and inform systems change
Maintain the integrity of the Workforce Development Program Drive, ensuring all fellow records, outcomes, and follow-up data are accurately entered and updated in a timely manner
Assist in the collection and aggregation of program data, case notes, and success stories for grant reporting and program evaluation
Handle all administrative and logistical needs related to program consultants and implementation partners, including scheduling meetings, tracking deliverables, and processing related invoices
Manage scheduling, setup, and logistics for training cohorts, workshops, job fairs, and informational sessions (both in-person and virtual)
Assist with the administrative tasks of the recruitment and intake process, including application processing and follow-up communication
Support the Manager’s external relations by preparing necessary materials for meetings with community groups, funders, and multi-sector partners
Track and summarize relevant news, legislative activity, and policy changes at the local and state levels
Assist in gathering background research for policy briefs, white papers, and advocacy campaigns
Format, proofread, and prepare advocacy materials, including presentations, meeting agendas, and fact sheets for external dissemination
Manage and prioritize the calendars and scheduling for the program leadership
Maintain organized physical supplies and electronic drives
Qualification
Required
Deep belief in Black Women Thriving East of the River's mission
2-4 years of relevant administrative and program experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting
Exceptional organizational and impeccable time management skills: strong attention to detail, can strategically manage multiple workstreams, and stay ahead of deadlines
Attentive to detail and accountable to others, can operate at a quick pace with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Google Workspace and related technical systems, with an ability to learn new software easily
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Demonstrated cultural humility and understanding of systems of oppression, equity, and inclusion
