Senior Maintenance Technician - Day Shift
Aegis Worldwide is seeking a highly skilled Senior Machine Maintenance Specialist to support and maintain all production equipment within our manufacturing facility. This role provides hands-on maintenance, technical expertise, and leadership in equipment reliability, working closely with Engineering and Plant Maintenance to troubleshoot issues and drive equipment improvements.

Responsibilities
Follow and reinforce all safety procedures, work instructions, and safety practices
Maintain a safe environment for yourself and team members
Repair and maintain production equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems
Support engineering teams with machine-related and production improvement projects
Work with CNC and PLC-controlled machinery
Troubleshoot electrical problems within live electrical control panels (Arc Flash certification required)
Use precision measuring tools and test equipment to diagnose and resolve issues
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals
Monitor, modify, or write programmable ladder logic for production equipment
Create or update electrical drawings and PLC programs supporting equipment changes
Install electrical, pneumatic, and data connections for machines and production lines
Coordinate with outside contractors on equipment repair and verify work accuracy
Design and implement electrical circuits and automation solutions for production equipment
Develop and enhance preventative maintenance schedules
Calibrate equipment using standard and specialized testing instruments
Lead equipment upgrades, overhauls, modifications, and root-cause failure analysis
Maintain compliance with 5S standards across assigned work areas
Log maintenance activities accurately within designated systems or ERP software
Support ISO 13485 maintenance initiatives
Train and mentor less experienced maintenance technicians
Recommend and initiate improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency
Order repair parts, tools, and materials through the ERP system
Provide input on annual budget planning for the maintenance department
Work flexible hours or overtime as production needs require
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Hands-on, self-starting technician capable of working independently or on a team
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Prior experience working with CNC machinery and PLC-controlled equipment
Proficient with MS Office programs
Ability to conduct routine and advanced maintenance on manufacturing equipment
Able to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
Effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks throughout the day
Strong written and verbal communication skills
