Treasury Management Officer

Responsibilities

Contacts prospective customers in order to develop new treasury management business
Manages relationships with existing customers to ensure proper servicing of accounts and to expand existing business
Makes cold calls on non-customers
Prepares sales presentations, explains services offered, and recommends services which would benefit clients
Identifies opportunities to cross-sell other products and services
Works referrals for treasury management services from all departments of the Bank
Attends sales rallies to educate front-line retail staff
Ensures all business products are set up in accordance with operational policies
Demonstrates the ability to meet or exceed goals set by senior management
Trains customers on the use of new products
Assists in the development of marketing material
Assists management in the development of new services or the modification of existing services
Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive Bank information
Maintains a positive and caring atmosphere for customers and employees consistent with Southside Bank’s mission, CORE Values, and Blue Book culture guide
Provides enthusiastic, professional, and courteous service to Southside Bank customers and employees
Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established at Southside Bank
Responsible for complying with audit policies and procedures as they pertain to this position
Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws, and in accordance with the Bank’s Information Security Program

Required

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and financial reports
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record-keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc
Handle multiple projects simultaneously
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to visit other internal and external offices, conference rooms, office machinery, etc
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and telephone
Constantly positions self to operate on a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with other people throughout each day. Must be able to exchange accurate information when conversing
