Responsibilities
Plans, leads, and executes staff events and activities; these events can range from cultural celebrations, volunteer opportunities, and game nights
Host club meetings and events for various interest groups such as Arts and Culture, Sports and Fitness, Community Service and Social Justice, etc
Promote staff activities and events to staff via flyers, activity guides, newsletters, word of mouth, and GroupMe
Develops positive relationships with staff and volunteers and encourages participation in YMCA events and activities
Collaborates with staff from other departments to create meaningful and desired events and activities
Plans events that can exceed 300+ in attendance
Must be able to take direction and work independently
Work varied hours including holidays, weekends, and nights
Possess enthusiasm to serve staff and develop positive relationships
Qualification
Required
Be adventurous, creative, self-motivated, resourceful, and a team player
Must be highly extroverted and comfortable initiating conversations, leading activities, and engaging with large groups
Ability to fluently speak, write, and read English
Be comfortable with technology and administrative duties
Willingness to assist in other areas as necessary
Possess enthusiasm for staff experience and creating meaningful events and activities for all
Strong organizational skills and ability to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Have or obtain First Aid and CPR Certification
Must possess a valid, USA state-issued driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles
Be comfortable speaking and presenting in groups of up to 300
Work in other departments and areas as needed

Must meet acceptable criminal background check standards
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Must be able to walk up to two (2) miles on uneven terrain
Bending, kneeling, stooping, getting in and out of vehicles
Preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
