Responsibilities
Create and refine essential manufacturing and process documentation, including assembly and test procedures
Assist production agents by troubleshooting issues and conducting root-cause analyses
Implement corrective actions as needed to resolve production challenges
Plan and execute comprehensive test campaigns at both the board and system levels, including ground and flight-test instrumentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the transition of design packages from design to production
Work effectively on both small and large development teams to achieve project goals
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and engineering or scientific experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform independent research and development
Active DOE Q clearance
Preferred
Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a highly related field where an independent research project was a graduation requirement (e.g., independent project, thesis, or dissertation)
Demonstrated experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis
Hands-on experience testing and de-bugging circuitry, with clear mastery of tools such as oscilloscopes, logic/network/spectrum analyzers, function/pulse generators, etc
Proven experience with design and analysis tools (e.g., Matlab and LabVIEW), analog simulation codes (e.g., LTSpice), and HDL simulation codes (e.g., ModelSim)
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Design for Testability concepts
Ability to work effectively on both small and large development teams
Experience with programming languages, software, and modeling tools such as Python, C/C++, C#, VHDL, LabVIEW, PDMLink, Mentor Graphics, OrCAD, Altium, SPICE, Multisim, and MATLAB/Simulink
Experience or knowledge in part and component selection and PCB layout and routing
Experience or knowledge with design of experiments and subsequent down selection
Experience with ESD control programs and solder/process specifications (IPC standards)
Experience or knowledge with manufacturing and testing RF components, RF circuits, and RF antennas and cables
Understanding of and experience with RF circuit analysis, phase noise, and phase response characterization
Experience creating and understanding product documentation and records, design documents, assembly procedures, and Interface Control Documents
Experience with avionics component development and testing in a lab and field environment, including instrumentation, data acquisition, and performance validation
Experience with process improvement and designing for producibility/manufacturability
Experience working in a Design Agent and Production Agent collaborative situation
