Responsibilities
Perform structural design and analysis under the guidance of senior engineers
Assist with preparing engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and technical documentation
Conduct field observations and inspections, learning to assess site conditions and verify design intent
Coordinate structural designs with other disciplines to ensure seamless project integration
Support Project Managers with scheduling, planning, and tracking project milestones
Review shop drawings and identify discrepancies between design and construction documents
Maintain clear records of all design calculations, decisions, and deliverables
Apply engineering codes and standards with attention to accuracy, precision, and detail
Continue developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate and implement effective design solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field; and five (5) years of experience in design and analysis of industrial, warehouse, distribution, and low-rise multi story buildings utilizing software packages such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, and SAFE; or
Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field; and three (3) years of experience in design and analysis of industrial, warehouse, distribution, and low-rise multi story buildings utilizing software packages such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, and SAFE
Three years of relevant experience in analyzing building structures using computer modeling methods and preparing structural calculations
Extensive knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices
Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues
Experience working in Revit
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented with strong interpersonal, problem solving and team skills
Preferred
Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field
EIT (Engineer in Training) certification or PE (Professional Engineer) license
Experience in precast and tilt-up buildings desired but not required
Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
