Responsibilities
Lead the assessment of management teams, clinical rationale, science/technology risk, clinical/regulatory strategy, commercial potential, intellectual property, competitive landscape, revenue projections, and valuation analysis to help determine the overall attractiveness of potential investment opportunities
Prepare and present investment materials and supporting documentation associated with potential investments
Monitor and assist with management of investments
Attend scientific and investor conferences
Assist with idea generation and deal origination
Assist in operations and other ad hoc tasks to support portfolio management
Collaborate with other areas of the organization to support other Novo Holdings activities
Qualification
Required
M.D. (preferred), or Ph.D. in a science or engineering discipline
Minimum of 3 years' experience in one or more of the following: healthcare venture capital, HC management consulting, HC investment banking, MedTech business development, or MedTech product development
Experience in evaluating MedTech companies
Proficiency with financial statement analysis, accounting, financial modeling, and clinical data analysis
Experience working with industry databases (e.g. Citeline, Pitchbook), libraries and other data sources to assist in researching companies, clinical trials, competitive positioning, and commercial opportunities
Preferred
